On November 6, 2010, the Massachusetts Paranormal Institute began an investigation of the Wood Duck Inn. Located in the village of Cataumet, Massachusetts, the Wood Duck Inn is an enchanted spot with a history of sightings of a previous owner, Helen Wade and a grumpy Sea Captain. The MPI Team assembled for this investigation consisted of Investigator and Case manager Connie Boulos,and Dave Sircom with Central Station Supervisor Ann Sircom and  Special Guest Investigators Leann & Bailey Soderberg. Rounding out the group was intuitive Gail Davis. Breaking into 2 smaller groups, positions were rotated on the half hour to allow each team at least one opportunity in each area of the buildings. While the investigation was ongoing, there were a couple of instances of unexplained rappings on the wall in an upstairs area and the barn which also also gave a feeling to a couple of members that there was something or someone  "unseen" but present with them.  All in all, the activity at the Wood Duck Inn is of a lighthearted nature and we detected nothing of a malevolent or evil nature. Below are the EVPs captured during the investigation.




BARN AREA EVPs

  It is difficult to understand what the investigator is actually saying in the beginning of this clip. The initial voice is that of the investigator and
                                                    at the end you can hear "Here I Come". This clip comes after several requests for the entity whose presence was felt in the barn to come forward
                                                    and show itself. 




   The investigator asks if a previous owner, known to hand carve birds in the barn, actually carved ducks and he responds with " a sarcastic "I'm carving less!"


UPSTAIRS AREA




   While closing out an EVP session in an upstairs area an unseen entity whispers "Good Bye"  heard at the very beginning.



   The investigator is heard speaking then a female entity says "I don't know".  The voice is believed to be that of Helen Wade, a previous owner.


  At the very end of the clip the same female entity as in the above EVP whispers 'Piano"


   One of MPI's female investigators gets a compliment from a spirit in the room with "That is a woman"
