At 7:00PM, on October 8, 2010, the Massachusetts Paranormal Institute began an investigation of the Yarmouth Port Library. Located in the village of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, the Yarmouth Port Library has a very long and prestigious history with little in the way of haunted stories from visitors and employees.

The MPI Team assembled for this investigation consisted of Lead Investigator Elizabeth Lyons, Case manager and EVP Researcher Connie Boulos, EVP Researchers;  Tina Correira, Rachel Andre, Investigator & Central Station Supervisor Sherry Evans, Lead Investigator Dave Sircom. Special Guest Investigator Ann Cifelli. Breaking into3 smaller groups, positions were rotated on the half hour to allow each team at least one opportunity in each area of the buildings.

Prior to breaking into smaller groups, we all sat quietly in the Reading Room in an effort to "quiet down" the activity level in the building associated with the equipment setup process. Almost immediately it became apparent to all of us present that one of our members was receiving a little extra attention. The brass bodied table lamp in front of Tina had an" on & off " draw string with a small decorative metal weight on the end which began with, no provocation, to "ding..ding" against the base of the lamp. Despite repeated attempts including actually shaking the heavy wooden table, we could not recreate the effect. Tina's Digital Voice Recorder and her cell phone batteries were both simultaneously, immediately and totally  "drained" even thought the phone had recently been on full and the recorder baterry had just been changed.  As a group we all proceeded to the upstairs 2nd floor area, which had served as living quarters to past live-in Librarians, where several MPI members felt there was a strong presence of energy. The entire Team sat around another table with 4 candles contained in glass holders placed down the table's length.  All the candles flickered  as if a breeze were being passed through the room but there was none. This quickly subsided with the exception of the candle directly in front of Tina which continued to flicker wildly. All the other candles burned at the same rate while after just a few minutes, the candle in front of Tina was just about burned out.  Connie is seen in the, video below, going into the Reading Room. Numerous orbs, very translucent and believed to be dust,  are seen floating in front of the camera. After Connie leaves the room keep your eyes on the fireplace mantle that is located just under the framed picture on the far wall. You will see a glowing white dot resting on the mantle. Shortly after she leaves you will see a solid orb go looking for her. We were fortunate to capture many EVPs. The best are here for you to listen to.
